Big Leaf, LLC ("Big Leaf", "Publisher", "we", "us", "our") is a publishing business registered in the state of Colorado, USA. We develop and operate websites like Palindromedary.us to inform and entertain our visitors, as well as to publish original creations by authors who submit their work to us.
Palindromedary.us ("Website") provides a set of tools to registered members that speed the process of composing palindromes. Members who choose to submit their palindromes to us enjoy the benefits of publication on our Website and in anthologies, collections of palindromes with stories by the authors, published in book format.
We collect Personally Identifiable Information ("PII") via the Website. PII is any information that may be used to contact, identify or locate an individual, and includes, but is not limited to, your name and email address. Big Leaf usually collects PII as follows:
Big Leaf also collects non-personally identifiable information ("Non-PII") via the Website. Non-PII is information that, on its own, may not be used to identify or locate a person or entity. It includes your IP address, browser type, and your computer's operating system. Big Leaf collects Non-PII in the following circumstances:

These third parties have access to PII only as necessary to complete their jobs on our behalf, and are bound by contract to not disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Big Leaf will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as Big Leaf, in it's sole discretion, believes necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal processes (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of Big Leaf or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop any activity Big Leaf may consider to be, or poses a risk of being, illegal, unethical, inappropriate or legally actionable.
Big Leaf may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including PII and any other information it has, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy.
Anyone with a registered Website account may review, update or correct the PII in their registration profile by logging into their account and visiting the "My Account" page. Big Leaf may retain an archived copy of your records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. If you'd like Big Leaf to delete any PII that it has on you, please log in and request deletion of your Member account via the Contact form.
Members may also request deletion of unpublished palindromes and related information. This does not apply to already published items, including those published on the Website and in anthologies. It does apply to submitted palindromes that were reserved for the next anthology, so long as the request is made before our internal pre-release deadline. Big Leaf will make all reasonable efforts to remove such palindromes before the anthology goes to press. To delete such palindromes, please log in and request deletion via the Contact form.
The security of your information is important to us, including but not limited to the PII collected via the Website and Service. We have implemented reasonable security measures to protect the information in our care, both during transmission and once we receive it. Our methods include, but are not limited to, firewalls and encryption. No means of data transmission over the Internet, nor electronic storage, however, is totally secure. Consequently, though we use industry best practices to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
